Which MCP servers are budgetSEO's own, from the official registry and from asking its own domain, whether they answer, and what they offer. A program checked each of these, nobody copied them from a product page.

- Tools that change data, on a server that answers without a sign-in: update_recommendation
A program checks the server once a day: initialize and tools/list, no model. Tokens are the definitions' length at about four characters a token. The grade averages six checks of every tool's name, description, schema and annotations; it says how well the tools are described, not whether they work. The score weighs what was measured and nothing else: answering (25%), doing the product's job (25%), definitions (20%), context (10%), use (10%) and how readily a client connects (10%). A part that was not measured is left out, and a hidden instruction caps the score at 40. The state of vendors' MCP servers: method and numbers →
get_seo_briefingUse this first when the user asks what to do with SEO today, what changed, or what to focus on. Returns the top actions, recent rank moves, plan limits, and the next automatic check.
find_quick_winsUse when the user asks for low-hanging fruit, quick wins, or striking-distance keywords. Each result includes the estimated monthly clicks gained by moving up.
find_opportunitiesUse for best opportunities across quick wins, research ideas, competitor gaps, rank drops, and AI Overview citation gaps. Filter with kinds when the user names one of those.

get_rank_changesWinners and losers over a recent window. Use for what moved, what dropped, or a weekly review. days defaults to 7.
get_keyword_action_planDeep context for one tracked keyword: ranking URL, history, SERP features, competitors, and a checklist. Use after a briefing when an agent can edit the page. Confirm with the user before changing the site.
get_competitor_overviewCompetitors and how many tracked keywords each one outranks the user on. Uses saved competitor data only and never starts a paid lookup. keywordsAhead is null until that competitor has been checked.
get_ai_visibilityLatest AI search snapshot and keywords where an AI Overview shows but does not cite the user. Pass projectId when the user has more than one project.

untrack_keywordRemove one tracked keyword and its history. This cannot be undone. Confirm with the user before calling it.
update_recommendationMark a briefing action done, dismissed, or snoozed. Call this after the user finishes or rejects an action so later briefings skip it. snoozeUntil is YYYY-MM-DD.

check_keywordsVolume, difficulty, and intent for keywords the user names. Spends 2 lookup credits. Tell the user the cost and wait for a yes. At most 20 keywords per call.
lookup_domainOrganic keywords, estimated traffic, and top ranking URLs for a domain. Spends 4 lookup credits unless the result is already cached. Tell the user the cost and wait for a yes. countryCode defaults to US.
lookup_backlinksReferring domains, backlink totals, and domain rank. Spends 3 lookup credits unless the result is already cached. Tell the user the cost and wait for a yes. spamScore is not a reason to disavow a list of URLs.
How to connect
Add the server to your MCP client config. Claude Desktop, Cursor and most other clients read this shape:
{
"mcpServers": {
"budget-seo-mcp": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://www.budgetseo.ai/api/mcp"
}
}
}Add it
Claude Code, in a terminal
claude mcp add --transport http budgetseo https://www.budgetseo.ai/api/mcpclaude.ai, ChatGPT and other clients: add https://www.budgetseo.ai/api/mcp as a custom connector in the settings.
Each line is something a program found when it went looking: the registry entry, the server's own answer, a spec that parses. A missing line means we did not find it, not that it does not exist.
Before we count this visit
Analytics and ad measurement tell us which pages and which of our ads do their job: Google Analytics and Google Ads, the Meta pixel, Yandex Metrica, and one first-party id of our own. Nothing is stored until you answer, and declining changes nothing about the site.
