- Tools that change data, on a server that answers without a sign-in: create_signup_sheet
A program checks the server once a day: initialize and tools/list, no model. Tokens are the definitions' length at about four characters a token. The grade averages six checks of every tool's name, description, schema and annotations; it says how well the tools are described, not whether they work.
draft_sheet_linkTurn the user's email, notes, flyer text or description of their event into a link that opens im-in.events with those words in the Describe it box. Pressing Make my draft there builds the whole sign-up sheet (dates, times, place, every…
list_templatesList I'm In! sign up sheet templates (potluck, meal train, volunteer shifts, ...) with their prefilled slots.
create_signup_sheetCreate a live sign-up sheet on im-in.events from a title, slot names and a time zone. Returns the shareable sheet URL and emails a private manage and claim link to owner_email, the user's own address. One sheet per owner email a day.
How to connect
Add the server to your MCP client config. Claude Desktop, Cursor and most other clients read this shape:
{
"mcpServers": {
"sign-up-sheets": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://im-in.events/api/mcp"
}
}
}Each line is something a program found when it went looking: the registry entry, the server's own answer, a spec that parses. A missing line means we did not find it, not that it does not exist.
