ThrustLab MCP server

Which servers in the official MCP registry are ThrustLab's own, whether they answer, and what they offer. A program checked each of these, nobody copied them from a product page.

  • Registry namecom.thrustlab/thrustlabverified in the MCP registry

The registry name sits under thrustlab.com. The registry only lets a publisher use that namespace after proving control of the domain through DNS or HTTP.

On 2026-10-21 the server answered initialize and tools/list without a sign-in. First answer in 275 ms.

Said by rules from the measurements above. The likely first call is a model's pick from the tool list; read its description before relying on it.

Worth a look

None of the five warning signs in these definitions.

A program checks the server once a day: initialize and tools/list, no model. Tokens are the definitions' length at about four characters a token. The grade averages six checks of every tool's name, description, schema and annotations; it says how well the tools are described, not whether they work. The score weighs what was measured and nothing else: answering (30%), doing the product's job (25%), definitions (20%), context (10%) and use (15%). A part that was not measured is left out, and a hidden instruction caps the score at 40. The state of vendors' MCP servers: method and numbers →

  • search_components

    Find motors, propellers or batteries in the ThrustLab database. `component_type` is "motor", "propeller" or "battery". `query` is a case-insensitive substring of the part name or its maker ("APC", "T-Motor", "13x6.5"). The maker sits…

  • get_component

    Read one database row by its id (`comp_…`), with provenance. Propeller rows give diameter, pitch, blade count, weight and maximum rpm. Blade station geometry is never returned.

  • estimate_propeller

    Thrust, torque and shaft power for one propeller, from its printed size. A closed-form momentum plus blade-element equation — no motor, no battery, no account. Give the size as it is printed: a 10x5 is `diameter_in=10`, `pitch_in=5`…

  • simulate_powertrain

    Solve one operating point of a whole powertrain on the Fast model. Battery, ESC, motor and propeller are solved together, so the answer is a real thrust and current, not a propeller curve. The numbers come back in `result` (`result.All` =…

  • sweep_powertrain

    Solve a powertrain across a throttle or airspeed range, up to 25 points. `sweep.steps` is the NUMBER OF POINTS, not a step size: start 40, stop 100, steps 4 gives 40, 60, 80 and 100. One sweep beats a loop of single points. The points…

  • get_result

    Read a stored result: a share `token` from a run, or a `simulation_id`. `simulation_id` needs a ThrustLab API key in `Authorization: Bearer` and reads only that account's own runs.

  • get_validation_summary

    How accurate a model is, measured against wind-tunnel and bench data. `model` is "fast", "full", or an exact report slug such as "prom-5.3". The numbers are error against measured data by partition and channel, with the envelope they were…

How to connect

Add the server to your MCP client config. Claude Desktop, Cursor and most other clients read this shape:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "thrustlab": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://thrustlab.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Add it

Claude Code, in a terminal

claude mcp add --transport http thrustlab https://thrustlab.com/mcp

Add to CursorAdd to VS Code

claude.ai, ChatGPT and other clients: add https://thrustlab.com/mcp as a custom connector in the settings.

Each line is something a program found when it went looking: the registry entry, the server's own answer, a spec that parses. A missing line means we did not find it, not that it does not exist.
