Anthropic has released Salesforce in Claude in beta, a plugin built with Salesforce that brings a seller's accounts, opportunities and pipeline into Claude under their existing Salesforce permissions.
The plugin ships with 37 skills covering account research, call prep, pipeline review and CRM updates. It relies on two connectors: a Salesforce connector that lets Claude read account data and act on it — summarizing account history, updating opportunities, logging calls, creating follow-up tasks — and a Slack connector that reads and writes deal-channel summaries and account-team threads.
Sellers get a personalized morning brief covering the day's meetings, deals closing soon, at-risk opportunities and unread threads needing a reply; from that brief they can tell Claude to push a close date or change a stage, and Claude writes the update to Salesforce. On Fridays the brief also drafts a weekly update for the seller's manager. For call prep, Claude pulls context from Salesforce, Slack and email, and adds stakeholders found in threads as contacts if they aren't already on the account. After calls, it turns transcripts or notes into follow-up emails, Slack deal-channel summaries and draft opportunity updates. For pipeline review, sellers can request an interactive dashboard showing coverage by stage and deals likely to slip, with the same ability to push updates from the dashboard.
Salesforce remains the system of record: sellers sign in with their own Salesforce credentials, Claude reads only what those permissions allow, and by default it asks for approval before writing any proposed change. Anthropic says it does not train its models on customer data by default on Team and Enterprise plans.
Salesforce in Claude is available in beta on all paid Claude plans. Admins request access through AgentExchange and connect Salesforce once for the entire organization, choosing which groups get the plugin. Anthropic customers GitLab, Siemens and Legora have deployed it, and the company says 7,000 Salesforce sellers currently use it.
